Date: Thursday, September 26th, 2019
“We recognize and honor your important work in preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives” said U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in a video message to the honorees. “As a National Blue Ribbon School, your school demonstrates what is possible when committed educators hold all students and staff to high standards and create vibrant, innovative cultures of teaching and learning.” This program, which is a part of the U.S. Department of Education, annually recognizes outstanding public and non-public schools for high student achievement or incremental academic progress. Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates great American schools, schools demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. “This Blue Ribbon recognition is a testament to all the stakeholders who provide a Christ-centered, quality education for our students and affirms the hard work of students” said Mrs. DeAngelo, Principal and our pastors, Father Gallagher and Father Cox. Our school representatives will be present at the awards ceremony on Thursday, November 14, and Friday, November 15, in Washington, DC. The school will receive a Blue Ribbon of Excellence plaque, a symbol of quality recognized by everyone from parents to policy-makers in thousands of communities.
